I have selected a few of my previous projects to be displayed here. Some are new and unreleased and some might have been taken offline.
I am a Brazilian expatriate currently living in Canada. I operate FlahDesign, a one person Web design and development company specialized in custom Joomla! templates with a tropical touch.
My style has been defined as "Funky Organic"*. I am fascinated by new technologies and techniques and given the opportunity I choose the unusual although I can certainly create corporate designs as well.
I have been designing web sites since 1996 and learning a lot along the way as the Web evolved. Most of my work was done as a freelance designer up until April 2006 when I was hired as a full time Web designer by one of Canada's financial corporations. I worked there until January 2010 when I decided to go back to freelancing full time.
I originally used my IRC nick (FayeC.com) as company name. The name FlahDesign originated in early 2008 after coming across the Irish slang word "Flah" on a book. "Flah" means "beautiful" in Ireland and FlahDesign was born.

I provide web design, web development, graphic design for the web and print (branding) and specialize in custom template design for Joomla! and Wordpress. I strive to create unique standards compliant sites using valid XHTML and CSS code. Please contact me for a quote as each project has a different set of requirements.
Design
My current hourly rates are as follows:
- Joomla! custom template - $90/hour
- Custom template means a totally custom/unique template designed and coded by me.
- Joomla! template customization - $80/hour
- Template customization means modification to an existing template (free or commercial) where the code already exists and where the customization means adding, removing or changing existing code.
- Flash/Actionscript - $80/hour
- Custom Flash with Actionscripting for banners, headers, etc.
- Graphic design for the web - $50/hour
- This refers to graphic design specifically for the web (72 or 96 dpi) i.e. banners, ads, etc.
I am currently accepting referrals and subcontracting on a limited basis so please contact me directly to find out my availability.

NOTE: HST Tax is applicable on all services provided within Canada. Tax percentage varies from 5% to 15% and is to be determined based on the client's province of residence. 5% tax is applicable on services provided to residents of other countries.
